Trekking #6

Suan Luang to Tad Sae Waterfall

Day 1

Your trip begins relatively early with an 8.30 am pick-up by mini-van from our office or from your hotel to drive south on the main national road (Road No. 13S) for about 45 minutes to Ban Suan Luang – a mixed ethnic minority village. A short walk brings you to the Khan River to take a slow boat to visit Ban Huay Yen Song – a Khmu village. We will spend a little time here to give you the chance to learn something about the culture and their traditional way of building their houses. Then we climb up the mountain to visit Ban Huay Yen Noung – a village of only 20 families. Our climb takes us through glorious green rice fields with spectacular scenery.

We continue our climb up and on to the Hmong village of Ban Timpha Noung perched on top of the mountain where we will take a break for lunch. Then a chance to relax and wander around, we will walk down to another Hmong village - Ban Tinpha Soung for our overnight stay with a Hmong Family.

Day 2

After breakfast, we leave for the Khmu village of Ban Huay Fai where you can watch these hill people make bamboo baskets and rice containers. We continue to Tad Sae waterfall for lunch and a chance to swim and relax for a while. We then take a boat across to Ban Anh where our mini-van will be waiting to take us back to Luang Prabang.
